The road to Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a long one. Only a couple of thousand people in the world have attained the prestigious black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Here is a video from July 2008 immediately following  UFC 86 that shows just how long Forrest Griffin has been training with Robert Drysdale. Pay special attention around the 1:00 minute mark of the video when Forrest mentions his MMA and Jiu-Jitsu training partners.

On Saturday November 13th 2010 Robert Drysdale  awarded  UFC & MMA Fighter Forrest Griffin his Black Belt In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! Robert and Forrest have been training together extensively for over 2 years here in Las Vegas, NV.  Forrest has spent a lot of time here at the gym training and preparing for his fights. His work ethic is amazing and everyone is suprised when they learn that Forrest Griffin does in fact train both Gi and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! Drysdale has given out less than 10 black belts in his entire career so we would like to extend a BIG congratulations to Forrest Griffin on behalf of Robert Drysdale Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Las Vegas, NV!
